The radiographic testing laboratory
The radiographic testing laboratory of the NITRO-CHEM Chemical Plant S.A. has a radiographic system based on the LILLYPUT 4/6 accelerator adapted for object screening.
The LILLYPUT type -accelerator is a device designed for use in industry for non-destructive testing. It is built so that its screening sensitivity in the selected range of steel thickness and for the appropriate energy is 1-2 T in the nomenclature of the ASTM E 1025 standard.
The accelerator emits a high-energy beam of photons with energies of 4 and 6 MV. The device is equipped with a system of manipulators that allows simultaneous examination of eight objects mounted vertically and one object horizontally, as well as a SMOC digital radiation detector.
